Angel's Funny Stunts

The other day, my mom let Angel outside, the grass was wet, and when Angel came back in, my mom didn't bother wiping her feet of. So, Angel run's, full blast across the kitchen floor, and all four legs slip out from under her! She TOTALLY lost her footing. IT WAS HILARIOUS! 

Angel did something funny today. My mom gave both her and our family dog, Amber, a bone. As soon as Angel saw Amber with a bone, she wants it. So, Amber, being the smart one, gets a new bone that is almost gone, and lays it in front of Angel just enough where Angel has to get up and leave her own bone to get Amber's. Of course, Angel has to have the new bone, so very carefully, she starts inching upward with one eye on the bone, and one eye on her bone. Finally, Angel gets to a point where she is to far away from her own bone, and Amber grabs it leaving Angel with only one, chewed up bone. : )  

Angel and Archer

 Archer, a 13 week old german shepherd, is Angel's new buddy. Just yesterday, Angel went over to his house to play, and, they never stopped having fun from the second they saw each other! They tackled each other, played tug-o-war, fought over ice cubes, : ), They just had so much fun! Archer will end up being a VERY big dog. His dad weighed over a hundred pounds, and his mom was around 70!

Angel Growing Up

Now I realize what my mom and dad feel like when I come back from camp 1 inch taller. Angel, my awesome new pup as grown more than 6 times more than her original weight! When I got her, she was only 4 pounds, and to this day, she weighs around 25! When I had just gotten Angel as an 8 week old pup, she could crawl UNDER the couch(the couch is about 2 or 3 inches above the ground by the way)! I cannot believe how much she's grown in the past 5 months. Since we didn't know much information about Angel from the start, it was hard to tell, and since her paws were so little when we got her, we thought that she would be one tiny pup, and I'm telling you, she's not near as tiny as we would of thought, but, she's still a real joy to have in our household.

Chores

Along with a good pup, comes GREAT responsibilities. Every day has many chores awaiting for me to take care of Amber and Angel. For example, Angel MUST be brushed every day, to prevent her coat from getting rough. Every week is bathtime for the both of them. Unfortunatly, the chore I mainly have trouble with is keeping the backyard free from the dogs' "deposits". Not a job I'm too good at remembering. Also, since Angel is still a puppy, and not FULLY housetrained, every day is a fight to keep an eye on Angel. But still, that does by no means keep me from loving her : ) There is one more that is truly a hard one. Amber, who is mostly whippet, is a descendent from greyhounds, which are racing dogs, so she has a lot of stamina. It takes a lot of work to keep her exersise up. It's the same with Angel also. Angel, who is also the state dog of Luisiana, has cattle herding in her blood she to, has giant amounts of energy and stamina sored up inside of her. But, in the long run, I'm just glad to have to magnificent pets.

Amber

My family dog, Amber, is our 4 year old dog. She is a Whippet, and she is mixed with another type of dog, that, we're not sure of. Amber was the first female dog we had owned, well atleast until Angel came along, and is one of the brightest. She is extremly smart and knows the tricks, beg, shake, sit, down, come, and stay. I don't know what I would ever do without any of my dogs, and I love my dogs.

Angel

My puppy, Angel, was my 13th birthday present from my parents, she is 5 months old now, and is the sweetest pet you could find. She is a catahoula, also known as the "leapord dog" because of her spots, and is also, like Amber, extremly smart. However, Angel is also a mix with another type of dog that we do not know of. Angel is going through her teething stage, but is very well behaved, seeing that the house isn't chewed up by now. Taking into mind how well behaved Angel is, she still is very curious and gets into many things she's not supposed to. She is also extremly playful, and has loads of stamina. She can run around the house for hours at a time, and not be tired when she's finished
